Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not stop them, for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” Matthew 19:14
Faith Formation
We want people to experience God in all areas of the life of the church and then be equipped to live as disciples of Christ.
Children & Youth
Babies are nurtured while parents participate in faith formation, worship, and other church activities.
Faith formation for children and youth includes three components: Learning, Service, and Fellowship. Children and youth learn about God and the stories in the Bible through Sunday School, children’s sermons during worship, and programs geared to their age groups. We also encourage children to learn through arts and crafts.
We encourage children and youth to serve at church. We invite them to serve as ushers, to serve at a Wednesday Night Supper, and in other ways to teach them about serving others. Our youth are encouraged to serve in a variety of ways – at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen, serving hot chocolate at the Christmas parade, raising funds for local needy families, and many other ways.
We collaborate with other local churches for special children and youth events like Easter Egg Hunts, Vacation Bible School, and Fall Festivals (including Trunk or Treat). Our churches often provide youth programs together.
